Improved for 2012 the new First Lite Wool Chama shirt in Realtree Max 1 is the perfect layering option for those cold September mornings that turn into 75 degree afternoons.  With the Llano and Chama together you have the ultimate layering combination.  The benefits of First Lite's 100% merino wool are numerous:

Number one for me is the comfort range in which it operates.  Whether the temp is 25 degrees in the morning or 75 in the afternoon I always feel comfortable.  I rarely get that overheating feeling when hiking up a steep mountain and when I do sweat the 100% merino wool dries quickly.  

Secondly the next great benefit is the ability to be worn for days and not stink.  I wore a Chama for six straight days in the backcountry last year and it still smelt the same on the last day vs: the first.  

Lastly the comfort of the Chama Shirt is outstanding, my fiancee wears one as her pajamas.  

For 2012 First Lite has made a few great improvements to the Chama.  It now features their new Shooters cut which promotes movement while hunting instead of binding up on you.  They also added a new pocket on the left sleeve which is the perfect accessory for storing your elk calls in or stashing a snack while hiking up a 2000ft face.
